Man Utd 1 Liverpool 1

Rashford (36) Mane (44:ruled out VAR) Lallana (85)

Manchester United will feel unlucky not to have won this one as they out-played runaway league leaders Liverpool.

United went ahead after a foul let them take the ball in their own half and counter-attack with Marcus Rashford scoring with a neat outside-of-the-foot volley from inside the box from an outstanding Daniel James cross. A controversial VAR decision did not feel that the earlier foul was enough to disallow the goal.

Liverpool scored with some excellent work from Mane, only for VAR to correctly see that he had previously used his arm to control the ball, much to the delight of the home crowd.

Lallana came on as a late substitute and was left unmarked for a simple tap-in. After that Liverpool took control of the game and were pressing for a record-equalling winner, but had to settle for a draw to end their 17-game winning streak.
